An active participant in the arts community she has served on the board of directors for the National Watercolor Society and Watercolor West. She has achieved signature status in WW, NWWS, SDWS and CWA. Her artwork has been featured in countless books and magazines (Splash, the Best of Watercolor, An Illustrated Journey, Creative Freedom, Complete Guide to Watercolor, Watercolor Artist, Watercolor Magazine, Watercolor Highlights, Plein Air Magazine and numerous other publications). She’s a highly sought after workshop instructor and exhibition juror, nationwide and abroad.

Artists’ Statement:

Being a painter is more than mastery of techniques. I strive to express how I feel about my world and my response to it. It’s my desire to communicate. My tools are that of a painter: brush, paint and paper. Working en plein air has taught me to be alert and observant and I take this knowledge with me into the studio. I’m constantly striving to capture the effects of light and atmosphere in my work. The constant struggle keeps my work honest and direct.
