Art Association of Central Arkansas Youth Art Show

This years winner of the of the Art Association of Central Arkansas Youth Art Show was Anna Bivens pictured receiving a $250 scholarship award from Mid-Southern Watercolorists. There was a lovely exhibit and reception with approximately 200 in attendance.

Anna Bivens is a High School senior at Benton High School.  She is heavily involved in artistic activities and classes at BHS.  Ann currently serves as the Art Club President and is a member of the AP Studio 2D Design Class with Mrs. Kyzer her art teacher.  While at BHS, Anna took all art classes offered within the fine arts department and will be considered a program completer.  Over the 2017 summer break, she attended Arkansas Governor’s School where she further studied visual art.  She has also volunteered her time at community events such as the elementary school fall festivals where she painted faces.  Her love for art will follow her to college next year where she plans to begin a degree in art education at Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas.
