MSW would like to give a special thanks to Suzzette Patterson and Kathy Kemp for leading our July Member Gathering. They did a great job! At July's gathering we learned about making homemade sketchbooks and using unique papers to create something truly personal. Member Gatherings usually take place on Saturdays, are led by a MSW volunteer and happen about six times a year. We also have two gatherings that are led by nationally recognized artists that are demos. Lastly, we have two exhibition openings. We highly encourage members to use these opportunities for inspiration, motivation, and camaraderie. We are currently scheduling the upcoming year's Member Gatherings if you would like to lead a one day workshop, we are always looking to learn new techniques and subject matter, please contact Stephen Lanford at blutonestudio@gmail.com or Gary Alexander at simplecolor101@gmail.com. and we will get you set up for a fantastic experience with your watercolor peers. Members and Non-Members are welcome at gatherings. We have a suggested donation of ONLY 10.00. This past year we have made sketchbooks, collages, miniature watercolors, figure drawings and had a plein air visit to Wildwood Park. Keep your eyes open in August for a list of upcoming Member Gatherings so you can mark your calendar and enjoy your craft with new and old friends.
